Become a JBC Volunteer

We deeply value the huge contribution made by each and every one of our wonderful volunteers.

We understand the reasons why people volunteer are many and varied and we would like to involve people in a way that will make it a mutually rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Volunteering for the Jersey Biodiversity Centre is an excellent way to build key skills to develop your career and enhance your cv, make contacts with those involved in nature conservation, establish friendships with like-minded individuals, and contribute to your local community.

The work of the JBC is varied, so no matter what your skill base we are interested to hear from you.

Some of the work JBC volunteers help with includes: processing wildlife records for the database; helping to manage our website and social media profiles; validating species records; various biological recording and ecological monitoring projects; helping to write species and habitat guides and many other tasks...
