Welcome Michelle to the JBC

Michelle will be joining the JBC as the centre's Manager. 

Michelle joins the JBC from the Jersey General Hospital pathology department. She has a lifelong interest in wildlife and the environment, completing an BSc in environmental protection before moving to Jersey. 

She has experience working on eco-active projects for the health department, and a number of years spent caring for the island’s wildlife at the JSPCA, including a personal highlight of hand rearing red squirrels. Enjoys being involved in local conservation, including volunteering at Jersey Zoo, and taking part in the Jersey Butterfly Monitoring and Pondwatch schemes. She is excited to start her new role to help encourage awareness and understanding of environmental and nature conservation in Jersey.

When we are back in our building after lockdown measures have been relaxed, Michelle will be based in the JBC office in the Société Jersiaise building on floor 1.5.
